• The walk-in clinic has one staff member, your provider. Beyond some basic tests (COVID, strep, and urine), there is no laboratory testing or imaging (x-ray). We are prioritizing efficiency for straightforward medical needs. As such, here is a list of services that will need to be addressed at Dahl Memorial Clinic across town.

Primary care and chronic disease management

Emergency medical services including chest pain or pressure, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, stroke symptoms (weakness, speech disturbance, facial droop), severe allergic reaction, high fever with confusion or lethargy

    Wounds, injuries and stitches

Injections, controlled medication requests (opiates, sedatives, and others)

  • To help with efficiency and keep costs down, we are not set up to check or bill insurance. We are happy to provide a “superbill“ which is what your insurance will need to submit for reimbursement. You can also use your HSA plan with us.

  • A routine visit at the clinic costs around $400 or more, which you often have to pay anyway if you have not yet met your deductible. Most urgent care visits add up to $300-400 once testing is factored in.
At the Skagway Walk-In Clinic, our priority is to get your medical needs sorted quickly so we can get you back to enjoying your time in our community.

  • Depending on how busy things are, we might be able to see you right away after completing intake paperwork. If we are booked, we will work with you to schedule for the next-available appointment in the future.

  • We work hard to ensure expectations are set before agreeing to schedule an appointment. However, if a patient is evaluated and is determined to require a higher level of care, we are working on an arrangement where the $250 visit fee will be applied toward your medical bill at Dahl Memorial Clinic.

  • We do not guarantee a given diagnosis or treatment will be given. Your provider will do their best to explain your best treatment options (including no treatment) according to their judgement.

  • Currently, we can only provide written prescriptions. Your prescription will be handed to you, and you can bring it to your pharmacy of choice.

The pharmacy in town is located at Dahl Memorial Clinic.
